On December 2, the first general meeting of the Sino-foreign cooperative education professional committee of the China Association for International Education Exchange and the first general meeting of the second council was held at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Many Sino-foreign cooperative education member universities across the country participated in the meeting. Wu Jianli, Dean of the International Business College and Executive Dean of the International United College, was invited to attend the meeting and was elected as the deputy secretary-general of the second council.

        The conference was presided over by Mr. Tang Zhenfu, Deputy Director of the Academic Exchange and Research Department of the Secretariat of the China Education International Exchange Association, and Ms. Zhou Yan, the Deputy Secretary-general, delivered a speech. The meeting reviewed the work report (draft) of the first session of the board of directors, then elected the second session of the board of directors of the Sino-foreign cooperative education professional committee. Mr. Xi Youmin, the Director and Executive President of Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, was elected as the chairman, Mr. Zhao Yanzhi, Vice President of Northeast University of Finance and Economics, was elected as the vice chairman, Mr. Tang Zhenfu was elected as the secretary-general, and Mrs. Wu Jianli and other three were elected as the deputy secretary-general.

In the end, the meeting voted to pass the working measures (revised draft) of the Sino-foreign cooperative education committee, then reviewed the main points of the Sino-foreign cooperative education committee in the next five years.
