From July 9th to 12th, 2019, the three teams from the International Business College to investigate the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area conducted research activities in Foshan and Zhuhai respectively. There were 22 teachers and classmates participating in this activity, and 21 people went to the countryside, including 10 from Foshan and 11 from Zhuhai. Mr. Yang Junkai and Mr. Hao Xindong were invited to serve as the instructors of the two research teams in Foshan and Zhuhai. Gu Jin served as the team leader of this research activity, and students Ning Yuwei and Cai Wenmin were the team leaders of the investigation in Foshan and Zhuhai.

Since April 2019, members of the research team have actively communicated and contacted the target visiting companies, and they have been sponsored by the "Wang Lo Kat" company. After getting in touch with the target visiting enterprise, the students voluntarily chose to divide into two teams, Foshan and Zhuhai, to conduct preliminary preparations for survey design and interview design, and to participate in the college’s "Rural Areas Visitation" activities in an orderly manner.

        The Foshan team visited Shicheng Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. and Dongfang Precision Technology Co., Ltd. on the 9th; arrived at the Robot Industry Innovation Association on the 10th; and visited Lingwang Elevator Co., Ltd. on the 12th. The Foshan research team conducted investigations with the above-mentioned enterprises on the development background, competitive advantages and deficiencies of the enterprises under the background of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the company's development plans and countermeasures. Among them, the person in charge of Dongfang Precision Technology Co., Ltd. said: The company is positioned globally, and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has little impact on the company, but it is good for upstream and downstream companies and is conducive to pushing the overall industry development. It also points out the importance of skills and talents. Lingwang Elevator Co., Ltd. believes that in the context of the Greater Bay Area, Foshan City is still in crisis, and there are development obstacles such as high corporate financing costs, and it hopes to obtain more support from all parties. During the interview, the discussion atmosphere was enthusiastic, the students actively asked questions and the relevant persons in charge answered enthusiastically. After the interview, the Foshan team visited the exhibition workshops of various enterprises in an orderly manner.

At the same time, the Zhuhai team visited Yinlong New Energy Co., Ltd. on the morning of the 9th; visited AVIC General Aircraft Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Maike Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. on the 10th; and visited the Gaolan Port Building Office on the 11th; Visited ABB Robotics (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd. These companies are distributed throughout the Zhuhai High-tech Development Zone, and the long distance does not hinder the students' pace. The Zhuhai team investigated these enterprises on the spot as planned. Among them, in Zhuhai Maike Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., the company receptionist led the students to visit the company's first-line workplace, the manufacturing plant. There, the students felt that the equipment manufacturing industry under the background of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area not only has macro-policy guidelines, but also has micro-development ecology and infrastructure support. For this reason, the students have a more specific understanding and deeper thinking about the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the development of the equipment manufacturing industry.

After the two groups of surveys are successfully completed, the students will complete the survey results under the guidance of the teacher: write tweets and send, make survey photo exhibitions and write survey reports. After this investigation, the students felt very rewarded. It is generally believed that college students must have the knowledge and search consciousness of "reading as many as ten thousand books", but also the realistic exploration spirit of going out of the "ivory tower" and "traveling as far as ten thousand miles".
